1. Introduction

Shandong Nuclear Power Equipment Manufacturing Co. Ltd which belongs to State National Nuclear Power Technology Corporation was founded in July 2007. It is the first professional manufacturing corporation for AP1000 nuclear power CV, structure module, mechanical module, and integration components.

It is also is the production base for AP1000 equipment design, manufacture and on-site installation.

The corporation is located in Shandong Haiyang County Lingang Industrial Zone with a registered capital of 220 million RMB. It is founded by State National Nuclear Power Technology Corporation, China Nuclear Industry 23 Construction Co. Ltd and CNNC Investment Limited. Their funded ratios are 80.36%, 16%, and 3.64% respectively.

2. Qualification

In September 2009, the company passed N、NPT、NA nuclear class certification of ASME.  The company also became the first domestic corporation to get ASME comprehensive certification.

In September 2010, its technology center was recognized to be Shandong provincial technical center.
In October 2009, it gained civilian nuclear security mechanical equipment manufacturing license from National Nuclear Safety Administration (NNSA).
In December 2010, it passed ISO9001 Quality System Certification, ISO14000 Environment Management System Certification, and GB/T28001 Occupational Health Safety Management System Certificate.

Currently, the company is undertaking two of the large pressurized water reactor research projects, and has four research results that has obtained national patent.
Lastly, the company has mastered the advanced AP1000 CV, module manufacture and field assembly technology. Its equipment manufacturing and field assembly schedule meets Zhejiang Sanmen and Shandong Haiyang nuclear power construction requirements.

The company has 650 official staff, the average age is 28. It has 283 management and technical personnel, 371 workers, 41 Masters, 179 bachelors, college degree or above accounting for 59% of the company personnel, 16 people are with the titles of professors and associate professors, 42 people are with intermediate qualifications for professional and technical positions, 6 senior technicians, 21 technicians.

On August 25th, 2011, the company gained 800 million RMB funding from a financial loan discount for integrative components, and 2 million RMB capital support from Shandng Province.

On September 29, 2011, specialized fixture of new welding stud bending test applied by Shandong Nuclear Power Equipment Manufacturing Co. Ltd gained a utility model patent certificate issued by State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO). This is the third patent it got in 2011. So far, has gained 5 patents, one is an inventive patent, the other four are utility model patents.
