Up to August 1, 2012, Tianwan NPP Unit 1 and Unit 2 have generated 80 billion kWh of electricity. The index performances for both units are up to the standard.

The construction of Tianwan Unit 1 and Unit 2 started on October 20, 1999, and put into commercial operation on August 16, 2007. Environmentally friendly, both units are generating an increasing amount of electricity and have produced both social and economic benefits.
