On March 17, CNNC first overseas uranium project—Niger Chapman Creek Uranium Project officially started trial production. Qiu Jiangang, the deputy general manager of CNNC and Minister of Energy and Mines of Niger attended the launch, and then check the work site of Chapman Creek Uranium Project.
Niger Chapman Creek Uranium Project is the first overseas development project by CNNC China Uranium Corp.,. This project was constructed by The Fourth Institute of Nuclear Engineering of CNNC, Star Construction Project Management Company of Nuclear Industry, SINOHYDRO and state-owned enterprises of China and Niger.
