According to foreign media, Chinese ambassador to Niger, Xiahuang said that China is planning to increase investment worth billions of dollars on energy and infrastructure projects in Niger.

It is reported that China’s biggest investment in Niger will be to build a pipeline for oil export. Xiahuang said that China will make the above investment decision if Niger begins to produce oil in June 2011.
