On the 3rd - 4th of December, 2008, the Belarusian delegation headed by the First Vice Prime-minister Vladimir Semashko visited CGNPG. Meetings of the cooperation on the Belarusian new nuclear power project were held and a memorandum of understanding was signed.

The First Vice Prime-minister Vladimir Semashko said that: the Belarusian government made the decision to build nuclear power plant was to diversify the country’s energy supply. CGNPG had the good performance on the construction and operation of nuclear power plants and welcome CGNPG to participate in the construction of Belarusian nuclear power project.

The chairman of CGNPG, Mr. Qian Zhimin, said that: CGNPG paid great attention to the Belarusian nuclear power project and set up a project team to propel the cooperation. Hope the two parties can communicate and discuss well to ensure the cooperation successful.
