Vice Minister of the Belarus Energy Department indicated that they have received China's bid for building a nuclear power plant within the Eastern European country.  Belarus is planning to build a nuclear power plant consisting of 2 generator sets, with an estimated capacity of each set being 1000KW.  Belarus is reviewing proposals from numerous international corporations, such as Areva, Toshiba-Westinghouse, and the Belarus Atomic Energy Corporation. Belarus officials would like to see the nuclear power plant in operation by 2009.
