On November 7th, Vice President of China Nuclear Energy Association, Mr. Zhao Chengkun, attended the Energy Agency and Nuclear Power International Seminar at IEEJ’s invitation in Tokyo. He reported about the general situation of China nuclear power after Fukushima nuclear accident, and answered questions about China nuclear power safety supervision, nuclear power personnel training, and nuclear power international cooperation.

The seminar was hosted by IEEJ and Yomiuri Shimbun. Officials and experts from IAEA, the United States Embassy in Japan, Committee of French nuclear energy (CEA), British Nuclear Industry Association, German Energy and Climate Policy Research Institute, Japan Atomic Energy Commission, Malaysia Energy, and Hanyang University attended the meeting and introduced their own nation’s energy and nuclear policy after Fukushima nuclear accident.  They also raised proposals about Japan energy and nuclear policy. About 300 Japan representatives from nuclear energy industry attended the meeting.
