On June 26th, 2011, the forum of energy safety and nuclear power for “Think Tank, the second global summit” was held in China World Hotel by China International Economic and Exchange Center, National Collaborating Centre for International Development and

Reform Commission and National Energy Research Institute.

Mr. Masahisa Naitoh, Chairman and CEO of Japanese Energy Economics Institute, gave a brilliant introduction about Japanese energy safety and future strategy.

He expressed that Japan has two aims in the nuclear energy national plan because of the Japanese nuclear accident. First, Japan will take active part in establishing an international framework and to support the nuclear non-proliferation and nuclear power plant expansion. Second Japan will support private companies to promote nuclear technology development in emerging economies.
