On Nov 24^th, 2008, Kang Rixin, secretary of the Party’s Leading Group and president of CNNC, and Khaled Touqan, president of Jordan Atomic Energy Commission (JAEC), signed the executive agreement on the cooperation of nuclear energy between CNNC and JAEC.

The member of Standing Committee of Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee Jia Qinglin and Jordanian Prime Minister Nader Dahabi attended the signing ceremony.
