The PTS (Pressurized Thermal Shock in Nuclear Power Plants: Good Practices for Assessment) guidelines formulated by fourteen nuclear research institutes from nine countries was officially published by IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) in February 2010. Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute (SNERDI), a subsidiary of State Nuclear Power Technology Corporation, is the only institute in China involved in formulating guidelines.

It indicates that China has made progress in PTS structural integrity analysis.
The guidelines will be applied in PTS inspection of nuclear power plants in the world.
