National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) announced on February 21 that it has signed a long –term agreement with Kazatomprom. Mr. Vladimir Shkolnik, president of Kazatomprom signed the agreement in Beijing with Huang Min, general manager of CNEIC in Beijing, in presence of CNNC general manager Mr. Sunqin and vice general manager Qiu Jiangang.
The duration of agreement is ten years from 2011 to 2020. Under the agreement, Kazatomprom will supply 30 thousand tons of uranium metal in total to CNEIC. The agreement is the biggest one in the international trade of uranium in CNEIC’s history in terms of uranium volume and agreement value.
