China will enhance the exchange and cooperation in such fields as the development and utilization of clean energy and nuclear safety technology. The consensus was reached at the 5th EU-China Energy Dialogue in Brussels, Belgium on November 8.

China and the EU agree to further strengthen the information sharing, experience exchange on government regulations and latest progress on renewable energy, nuclear safety, energy efficiency, grid standard and clean coal, etc. They will conduct cooperation on technology know-how and work together to carry out the international safety standards to ensure the nuclear facilities are absolutely safe. 

According to Mr. Liu Tienan, Director of the National Energy Administration, the cooperation regarding energy has been one of the most prospective cooperation between China and EU.
