Bulgaria's Minister of Economy, Energy, and Tourism, Traicho Traikov visited China Guangdong Nuclear Power Corporation (CGNPC). He met respectively with vice general manager of CGNPC, Mr. Zheng Dongshan at Daya Bay nuclear power base in Guangdong province on June 13th and Mr. Zhang Weiqing, also vice general manager of CGNPC in Beijing on June 16th. The delegation affirmed the achievements CGNPC made in nuclear engineering construction and management and expressed hope to cooperate with CGNPC.

The delegation visited Daya nuclear power base including the nuclear island, conventional island and main control room of unit one of phase two of Lingao nuclear power plant. The delegation were introduced the nuclear power operation, construction and features and advantages of CPR1000+. Both sides exchanged ideas about nuclear power cooperation in Bulgaria.
