Market Segmentation

The market segmentation splits clients by their role in power plant design and construction. Dynabond Powertech Services (DPS) targets five market segments:

1. Research and Engineering Institutes: Buying components from overseas manufacturers, designing power plants in China. What they want - a sourcing agent to coordinate various suppliers and make their life easier. Our role is to take over as sourcing agent.

2. Chinese Component Manufacturers: Chinese Component manufacturers: Producing components for power plants in China, struggling to enter into international markets and make qualification standards. What they want - require representation overseas and consulting services to assist them in furthering their global business growth objectives, reaching qualification standards, and guidance on potential overseas joint venture/merger/acquisition opportunities. Our role is to provide representation and consulting.

3. Foreign Component manufacturers: Producing and globally supplying components for power plants. What they want - looking to increase production in china to reduce production costs and realizes a market entry into china with trustworthy partners. Our role is to facilitate partner introduction and interface between the two entities as required.

4. Building Contractors of Power plants: Producing power plants in China, buying components from Chinese and International suppliers based on the designs supplied by the research and Design Institutes. What they want - competitively priced components to meet budgetary restraints, timely delivery of components which meet qualification standards. We will assist them in sourcing 'hard-to-get' components.

5. Administrative bodies (CNNC, SNPTC and CGNPC): Responsible for the regulations surrounding power plant design and construction, and funding the construction of power plants. Not directly involved in acquisition of components, but they set the standards for quality of build and component quality. What they want - consulting on acquisition of foreign technologies, help winning business overseas, assistance with qualification procedures to help domestic manufacturers in reaching global standards, deregulation of the nuclear market for foreign investment.

We will be working to assist the Administrative bodies in their objectives, additionally lobbying in this area will further accelerate the market. DPS focus on short term basis in two areas: firstly the supply of components for the nuclear island, in particular the safety related components and systems, secondly the support to Chinese suppliers looking to qualify their actual production for the nuclear power market. The mid and long term goals are the supply of services which include the sales of components, systems, engineering and technical assistance which support the integration of the components for major complex.
