Cameco Fuel Manufacturing (CFM), a subsidiary of one of the world’s largest uranium producers—Cameco, is a leader of pressurized heavy water reactor fuel assemblies for Candu reactors. Having more than five decades of experience with Candu fuel technology, CFM is also the largest Canadian-based supplier of in-core components to Candu reactors.

The Chinese Companies Involved in the takeover of Kalahari
With the growing fleet of reactors in China and the radical plans for nuclear power plants in the future, there is a growing concern on the countries’ source of uranium supply. To secure more resources, China Guangdong Nuclear Power Corporation (CGNPC) has recently bought Kalahari Minerals. The aim of the takeover was to gain a stake in the Australian company, Extract Resources, the developer of the Husab uranium project in Nambia.
