China International Nuclear Industry Exhibition

China International Nuclear Industry Exhibition (abbreviated to NIC) is the first nuclear exhibition of its kind in China. With the efforts for 20 years, NIC has become the world's largest and one of the most important technical exhibitions in nuclear industry.

In NIC'2010, with “green energy resource, low-carbon future" as the theme, more than 220 companies from 16 countries and regions were on the show, and the exhibition area was nearly 10,000 square meters for most of the previous. GRS was established as a business in January 1977. The headquarters are in Cologne, other sites include: Berlin, Braunschweig and Garching nearby Munich. Currently, there are approximately 450 employees at GRS, 350 of which are technical and scientific experts: engineers, physicists and chemists work for GRS as well as earth scientists, mathematicians, and computer scientists. GRS operates research laboratories in Brunswick and at ISTec in Garching. GRS is ISO 9001:2008 certified.

GRS is a non-profit-making, scientific-technical expert and research organization. It provides interdisciplinary knowledge, advanced methods and qualified data for assessing and improving the safety of technical facilities. Recovery of new energy starts from nuclear power

China’s nuclear power industry has been suspended for almost one year because of the Fukushima accident.  However, it will restart soon as the two plans—‘Nuclear Safety Plan’ and ‘Nuclear Power Plan’ are going to be launched in March of 2012, reported by Xiangcai Securities.

Where to go, nuclear power, in 2012?

The year 2011 is unusual for Chinese nuclear power. The Fukushima accident cooled down “overheated” demands in nuclear construction. Now the question is the direction of Chinese nuclear power in 2012.

Looking back at the past year,  Chinese high-level government officials or Chinese nuclear corporations top management expressed their opinions on the future development of nuclear power.  However, it seems from the strategies and actions implemented in 2011, China will continue to stick to their policy of developing nuclear power, and nuclear power will occupy an increasing proportion in China’s power generation. Hence, we can conclude the future of Chinese nuclear market is clear and the construction of nuclear power plants will eventually be up to speed again......more
